What I have learnt in NIE
After
I came to Singapore in December, 2006, I start learning English in NIE as the bridging course
before I study in NTU. I have been studying in NIE for nearly 6 months. In NIE I have five courses which are the listening,
oral communication, reading, writing, and digital literacy skills. The bridging course aims at help SM2 students to gain the
skills of English study in university. The skills we learn are very useful. I have learnt how to make a speech, how to take
notes in lecture, how to read fast and efficient, how to write academic essays, and how to use computer to write reports and
diagrams. I also did my survey, listening project, and reading project. The research paper and debate are on the way. The
life in NIE is really interesting and meaningful.
